Using Tempello with Clio
Tempello integrates seamlessly with Clio to automatically push time entries into your practice management system. Once connected, you’ll see 0.1-hour time entries logged in the correct matters with no manual input.
How to Connect Tempello to Clio
- Log in to your Tempello Dashboard
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Connect to Clio
- A Clio login window will appear—enter your credentials
- Authorize Tempello to access your Clio account
- You’ll be redirected back to Tempello with confirmation
What Happens Next
- Tempello will sync your matters, users, and clients from Clio to help with accurate matching
- All new billable email entries are automatically pushed to the appropriate matter in Clio as time entries
- Each entry includes:
- Activity date
- Time duration (0.1 hr)
- Description (e.g., "Email to client regarding case update")
- Linked Matter
Where to Find Entries in Clio
- Open a matter in Clio
- Go to the Activities tab
- Filter by user or activity type (if needed)
- You’ll see entries labeled from Tempello, with descriptions pulled from the email metadata
Sync Frequency
- Syncs happen in near real-time (typically within 5–10 minutes)
- You can force a manual sync in Settings > Integrations > Clio
Need to Disconnect?
You can disconnect Tempello from Clio anytime via Settings > Integrations > Clio > Disconnect. Data previously synced will remain in Clio.
